With the next cabinet meeting scheduled on February 23, all eyes are on government’s stand on steel plant privatisation and resolution over the capital shifting.
CMO corridors are rife with speculations that fixing the date for shifting the capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam and plans regarding that same are the main concerns to be addressed in the upcoming cabinet meeting.
Sources confirmed that Chief Minister’s Office along with the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat will be shifted to Visakhapatnam by the coming Ugadi festival in April second week. However, it can be noted that the three capital issue is still a hornets nest with numerous judicial hurdles.
Cases filed by the Amaravati farmers, political parties and various farmer outfits which are still pending in the court stood as the main hurdle for the capital shifting process.
