North Telangana has been hit by heavy rains and floods for a week. Even though the rains have subsided for two days, the coastal areas of Godavari are shaking due to flood tide. Also in other districts, people are facing severe problems due to rain. Especially the joint Warangal is getting soaked in water. However, criticism is being heard from the opposition that CM KCR is not leaving Pragathi Bhavan despite all this happening.

KCR will inspect the flood situation in the catchment area of the Godavari river by helicopter from Warangal Arts College ground on Sunday morning. The KCR aerial survey will continue in the Godavari basin from Kadem to Bhadrachalam. Chief Secretary to Government along with CM will participate in this survey. The authorities have completed the arrangements for this.
In four districts under the combined Warangal district, from June to July 12, more than one hundred percent rainfall has been recorded. Warangal district received 95 percent more rainfall than normal and Hanumakonda district 88 percent more than normal. Pushkarghats and shops were submerged as the Godavari raged along with Pranahita. The flood water reached the houses. Agency villages are stuck in the water crisis.
The situation of the people of agency areas in Mulugu district has become beyond description. Many villages in Venkatapuram Mandal are under waterlogging due to rising Penkavagu. Officials moved the essential goods through tractors and boats as traffic stopped in Tippapuram, Kotagumpu, Penkavagu, and Kalipaka villages.

People are suffering in the Jayashankar Bhupalapalli district due to floods. The situation in Mahadevapur, Palimela, and Kataram mandals has become dire with the Godavari raging. The flood water reached the houses in the lowland villages in the respective mandals. People moved to safer places carrying their basic necessities.
