BJP state president Bandi Sanjay was angry that the police had completely watered down the amnesia pub case. Along with BJP state in-charge, Tarun Chugh, he spoke to the media at the party office in Nampally. There he went on to say that the case was registered against the MLA’s son only after a long time they took to falsify and get rid of the evidence. He said the police had deliberately delayed in registering the case from the day of the incident. Suraj’s name was registered in the first FIR to mislead the case and portray him as a Hindu. He said the police registered a case against the MLA’s son and added him at the end of the list of accused after finding out that the MLA had serviced the vehicle and made all the evidence disappear.
Sanjay said the police had responded to the BJP’s move and would have closed the case otherwise. “Until the end of the case, the government tried to protect the accused. The police, who are supposed to uphold the law, watered down the case to save the culprits. The police are only responding to the BJP’s concerns. Peace and security in the state are deteriorating due to KCR’s insanity and his increasing reliance on staying at the Farmhouse. Despite the incident coming to light on a daily basis for the past fortnight, the police and the government have not responded. Is there an actual police system in the state? Is there a CM? There are suspicions coming up among people,” he said.
He recalled that DCP Joel had said that the police were contradicting each other in the case about the involvement of MLA’s son. But CP CV Anand said that a case has been registered against the MLA’s son. They also alleged that it was the police who serviced the car for misplacing all the evidence. It has been criticized that the real culprits have been added to the last name and treated differently by the law without full evidence and without finding evidence. The girl’s statement was supposed to be recorded before a magistrate in the case but was not made in a timely manner.
“The police have watered down the case to protect the politically influential people and their families on orders from the chief minister’s office. On the surface, they are campaigning and convincing the public that the perpetrators could face up to 20 years in prison. But it is the TRS and MIM parties who are ruining the state together. TRS leaders are prosecuting people, while MIM leaders are committing other kinds of crimes. So many atrocities took place in the last 15 days. What does the son of KCR have to say as he earlier mentioned that any incident will be recorded in the CCTV and drone cameras? What happened to KCR who said that serious actions will be taken against criminals in the state? If only KCR has the eyes to see the situation in the state, for him to take down criminals,” stated Bandi.
Bandi said the police were not in a position to move unless the KCR’s family responds, adding that the courts were responding and punishing the police. He further said that the police are becoming the scapegoats of the TRS regime’s incompetent governance, adding that whatever action and seriousness involved in dealing with the minor girl case has been done only because of BJP’s involvement. Bandi also demanded answers to the government’s inactive nature is punishing the criminals when they are leaving no stone unturned in targeting the BJP members in the state.
