The National Commission for Women has focused on the sensational Amnesia Pub case. They issued notices to CS Somesh, and DGP Mahender Reddy to provide full details of the incident. Asked to say what action was taken against the accused.
Rekha Sharma, the National Commission for Women chairperson, has written to the Telangana DGP to take immediate action in this regard. They want to intervene directly in the case and see to it that the culprits are quickly punished. It was clarified that a comprehensive report on the steps taken by the government for the safety of girls and women in the state should be submitted within seven days.
She said that it had come to their notice that in a case one politician’s son is involved and it made the case very serious and sensitive, as much as they wanted to threaten and target the girl victim. Rekha Sharma has announced that an inquiry has been started into the rape incident that took place in Secunderabad.

Meanwhile, the police department has also received notices from the National Commission for the Protection of the Rights of Children. Also expressing shock over the Jubilee Hills incident, Telangana Governor Tamilsai Soundarajan has already directed the Chief Secretary to the Government and the Director-General of Police to submit a detailed report.
