In a shock to two IAS officers who failed to appear before the court hearing as per the directions given in the contempt of court case, Andhra Pradesh High Court on Saturday issued non-bailable warrant to K. Praveen Kumar and B. Rama Rao.
The High Court issued the orders to Vijayawada police commissioner and Guntur SP to produce the chief executive officer of BC welfare and director respectively before the court by March 19th. Instructing the police to execute the warrants by the 19th, Justice Battu Devanand issued orders to this effect on Friday.
The High Court has ordered that government consider the promotion of G. Chandramouli, an employee at the boys’ hostel in Vijayanagaram district, to HWO Grade-1. Which was not implemented by the bureaucrats after which Chandramouli filed a contempt of court petition in the High Court.
Hearing the petition, the court instructed Praveen Kumar and Rama Rao to appear before the court on February 5. However, the two top officials did not appear before the court filing a petition explaining reasons. Dismissing the reasons filed by the bureaucrats, the High Court issued a non-bailable warrant.
