As the Apex court quoted it, the ‘ego’ clash between Jagan-led Andhra government and SEC Nimmaggadda Ramesh Kumar didn’t seem to subside even after the legal interference. While the state political circles are convinced that the rift is on the verge of subsiding, the SEC kickstarted a new issue.
Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Nimmaggadda Ramesh Kumar wanted to have his vote registered in his native village Duggirala in Guntur district while the local officials are clearly against his will as his permanent address is in Hyderabad.
Besides making a formal application for his vote in his native village Duggirala in Guntur district which was straight away rejected, Nimmagadda warning the government to approach the apex court if his voting right in his native village isn’t granted. Further, the SEC has decided to approach the District Collector.
Even if the apex court grants his vote in his native village, the political analysts hint upon new controversy from the people who are living away from their native villages.
