Amidst the speculations that ruling YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh was open to a dialogue on joining the NDA at the Centre under certain conditions, the state chief minister Jagan on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
According to the CMO, the meeting was scheduled to address 17 long pending issues which include assistance to be provided to the state, please of funds and state partition promises. However, Sources at Delhi has it that the regional party from Andhra Pradesh could join the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance over which the CM was asked to rush to Delhi to meet the high command.
As per the inside information accessed by VDP Associates, a data-analytics firm involved in election surveys, BJP has reportedly offered 2 cabinet and 1 Minister of State (Independent) to YSRCP. Speculation is that the meet was scheduled to finalise the candidates and that Jagan might recommend V Vijay Sai Reddy, Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh and Vizianagaram MP Bellana Chandrasekhar into the Central cabinet.
Followed by the meeting with Prime Minister Modi, the AP Chief Minister will take part in an apex council meeting to be held via video conference at 12 PM which will be presided over by Union JalSakthi Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
