Amongst the few major resolutions taken in the recent Cabinet meeting presided over by CM Jagan, approving AP Industrial Corridor Development Act, 2017 (APICDA) was one of the significant steps taken by the Andhra Pradesh government.
In the line of which, the state government has constituted the AP Industrial Corridor Development Board which would come into effect from August 28.
According to the G.O. MS No.46 issued by Special Chief Secretary (industries and commerce) R. Karikal Valaven, the board has taken a crucial decision of appointing Chief Minister as chairman for the newly formed authority.
On the same hand, the board has appointed 11 chief secretaries from various ministries including Minister for Industries and Commerce Mekapati Goutham Reddy as vice-chairman.
The new policy Industrial Development Policy which will be in effect till 2023 was noted to ease of doing business, skill development, business enablement and fiscal incentives.
