Dharani Portal…the trendsetter property registration web portal which was launched by Telangana government on October 29th has been fathoming satisfaction from farmers, landowners, sellers and buyers.
Stating that the registration process has become a very easy task compared to the previous method of registration, many claimed that the process is taking not more than 30 mins.
This has indeed left many state government’s contemplating to take up the land registration process which would ease out the process and bring down corruption. Going by the recent developments, Jagan-led Andhra Pradesh government is one of the states which is trying to copy Telangana’s idea of registration.
It was learnt that Jagan in the recent cabinet decision asked the officials to take up a comprehensive land survey from January 1 with the help of latest technologies like drones.
Sources have it that as many as 5,000 survey teams comprising 15,000 surveyors will be deployed to take up the survey while the government reportedly sanctioned Rs 1000 crore for the survey.
However, it can be noted that Telangana high court has objected to the collection of personal data of individuals like Aadhaar, caste, family members. Many political analysts opined that these legal and technical hitches will indeed turn into a case study for Jagan and his team for further launch.
