Andhra Pradesh CMO took quite a time to forget the abrupt transfer of the former Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam while he still has five more months of his tenure. Amidst the speculations that Principal Secretary and the CS, the two pillars of state administration are not on good terms, the transfer once again proved that the administration is in the iron fist of the CM.
Neelam Sawhney who succeeded Subrahmanyam gained good score from not only the CM but also from the bureaucrats across the state. The IAS officer has been playing a pivotal role in the corona detainment strategies integrating all the district headquarters. Sources revealed that Jagan openly credited Neelam over handling corona crisis in the state. However, Neelam is on the verge of completing her tenure by June 30.
With less than 2 months in hand, CMO is rife with news that tens of senior IAS officers are racing for the CS chair. Senior IAS Satish Chandra has been most heard the name, Nirab Kumar Prasad and Adityanath Das are reportedly giving tough competition to Satish. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Jagan seems to have his own plans. If the rumours from Undavalli camp office are to be believed, Jagan has written for Prime Minister to extend the tenure of Neelam for few more months.
