While the state in a row registered not less than 60 cases from the past few days, the health authorities in Andhra Pradesh heaved a sigh of relief on Monday. AP on Monday registered 38 new cases across the state, while the Corona tally is now at 2,018.
According to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare by 10.00 PM on May 11th, the state registered no casualties taking the total death toll to 44 so far. As 998 have recovered and were discharged from the COVID-19 hospitals across the state, at present, there are 975 active cases in the state.
Officials confirmed that 7,409 samples were tested in the last 24 hours amongst which 38 blood swabs turned positive. District-wise breakdown Chittoor had 9 new cases, 8 in Anantapur, 5 in Guntur, 1 in Nellore, 3 in Visakhapatnam and Krishna districts respectively. However, 8 cases out of 9 new cases in Chittoor are speculated to have contacts with Tamil Nadu-based Coimbatore market.
