The tremors set by the government’s G.O. released over the ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh can’t be forgotten anytime soon. The huge reduction in ticket revision released before the release of Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Vakeel Saab’ has created a stir in Tollywood.
While many production houses stalled the release fearing fewer collections, Tollywood celebrities raised concerns over which CM YS Jagan called for a meeting with biggies in the industry headed by Chiranjeevi.
However, Jagan left everyone in shock as he canceled the meet at the last meeting while a separate delegation meet Transport Minister Perni Nani who was appointed as the head. The delegation included industry biggies Adhi Seshagiri Rao-C Kalyan-Dil Raju-RRR producer Danayya-Bharat Chaudhary-Vizag Raju.
The delegation reportedly discussed various issues faced by the exhibitors. Reportedly, the government has communicated that they have been developing a new web application connecting all the film theatres in Andhra Pradesh, making sure soon a movie ticketing portal is available from the government bodies to the public.
So if this GO comes into existence the so-called big online private portals will no longer work in AP. Black market selling of the tickets will also come to a halt. Ticket prices will be finalized in consultation with industry stakeholders and be such that moviegoers do not feel the pinch. The minister said theatres should implement the price fixed by the government.
