While the three capital issue continues to set ripples in the state politics, a batch of petitions filed in the high court turned crucial. In an interesting turn of events, Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday raised concerns over the expenditure spent and allocated for capital city Amaravati.
A bench comprising Justice Rakesh Kumar, Justice M Satyanarayana Murthy and Justice AV Sesha instructed the government to submit a detailed report regarding the whopping Rs 52,000 crores spent by the AP Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA).
Expressing concern over the number of projects completed, left midway and are yet to be constructed, the bench served notices to State Accountant General.
The high court also remarked that the jurisdiction will not encourage the public funds being misused and has posted the further arguments to August 14th.
