Local body elections in Andhra Pradesh indeed heated up the state politics while the postponement gave a dramatic twist. On the verge of the municipalities wrapping up the nomination process for the JDPTC and MPTC, the election date was deferred by six weeks by the State Election Commission deferred which later faced allegation over acting in favour of TDP Chief and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Meanwhile, tensions rose high in Razole over the issue of B-Forms to the candidates. While it ultimately lies in the hands of constituency MLA, sources close to JanaSena revealed that the party completely snubbed Rapaka Varaprasad. In a move which came to a rude shock to the lone MLA, Janasena had issued the B-Forms to its candidates for the upcoming polls without the former’s consent. It is also learnt that many of the municipalities in the Godavari region recorded a unanimous victory for JanaSena.
Sources also stated that supremo Pawan Kalyan has designated the election works to local leader Gurudatta Prasad despite Rapaka being the MLA. On this note, JanaSena fans and followers took to social media to lash out on Rapaka who has been maintaining a deliberate distance from the party. A few threw an open challenge to the MLA to contest back in the same constituency without the support of JanaSena, while another reminded the incident when showered milk on Jagan’s photo.
