Despite deploying all possible containment strategies, corona positive cases kept increasing exponentially while both the Telugu states kept touching 200 cases. Days after positive cases kept surging in state secretariat in Amaravati, tensions ran high in CMO peshi with the official driver of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy tested positive for the coronavirus along with five others.
Followed by which the officials sealed the CMO building while sanitation works are on full swing. Speaking over the same, one of the senior officials confirmed that the state government had decided to close the CMO until normalcy is restored. It is to the known knowledge that blocks 3 and 4 were already shut as two employees tested positive for the virus on return from Hyderabad.
On the other hand, an employee working in the Metro Rail Bhavan at CMO was tested positive for the infection. According to the primary reports, it was revealed that the employee contracted the infection from his son who recently returned from Mumbai. Besides sanitising the CMO block, heath officials have collected the samples of about 30 employees who came into contact with the infected employee.
