JanaSena Chief Pawan Kalyan has been one of the main support for over 29,000 Amaravati farmers who have been giving a tough fight against Jagan-led government’s three capital decision. Not only did the actor-turned-politician strongly condemned the government’s move, but has also participated in the protests held in Amaravati.
No one can easily forget the intensity with which the JanaSena Chief spoke at Amaravati while the police tried to stop him from staging a protest. However, seems like things took a swift turn with the youngest party in the state joining hands with BJP.
Besides taking a clear stance, Pawan like never before is mincing words over the three capital issue. This became quite evident with the recent press note issued by JanaSena. Instead of condemning the government’s move, Pawan took the rescue of Corona havoc in the state.
“Saving lives during the ongoing pandemic should be the government’s priority. Emphasis on a crucial issue like the capital issue, while the state is struggling with the pandemic, is not a wise decision,” read the official note.
Further, the party found fault with TDP for not heeding to Prime Minister Modi’s suggestion of refraining the capital to 3,500 acres.
This left netizens divided which a few openly criticised Pawan who quoted Amaravati issue as the main reason behind his alliance with BJP. Political circles in the state are rife with opinions that Pawan who entered politics with a noble cause has now become a puppet in BJP’s hand.
