The death toll in Andhra Pradesh reached to three with two new Corona deaths reported on Monday. According to the latest reports issued by the state health authorities, the two casualties were registered at Anantapur and Krishna district COVID-19 hospitals.
Reportedly, a 64-year old man in Anantapuramu tested positive on April 1st who succumbed to the novel virus had the travel history of visiting Mecca. Another case in Machilipatnam was a 55-year-old in which was noted to be local transmission as he returned by train from Odisha late last month. He was learnt to be suffering from asthma and bronchitis which made it difficult for him to survive.
Meanwhile, 14 new cases were reported since Sunday night as Kurnool district topped the state list with 56 patients. With this, the state now has 258 active positive cases while 5 were reportedly recovered and discharged.
