Hours after AP High Court gave a shock to the Jagan-led government to conduct the ZPTC, MPTC elections before the end of March i.e before the SEC will retire, Nimmagadda Ramesh on Wednesday dropped a bombshell. Giving a new twist over the elections, AP SEC stated that said SEC could not hold elections as his tenure was coming to an end.
Stating that he would not be able to release the schedule in the current circumstances, Ramesh Kumar suggested the election body allot the responsibility to the new incumbent Election Officer after he retires on March 31st.
Speaking to the media in Amaravati, the SEC has been at the loggerheads with the Jagan-led government has once again given the opportunity to lodge a complaint where there are unanimous results in ZPTC and MPTC election. Nimmagadda Ramesh further appreciated the hardworking of police and government agencies in successfully conducting the Gram Panchayat and urban local body elections.
