On one hand, inflation is making the lives of the common man difficult. On the other hand, Telangana RTC is frightening the passengers with a series of fare hikes. The RTC has already shocked commuters by increasing fares from city buses to Garuda Plus buses in the name of a roundup, toll cess, revision of ticket fares, passenger cess, and diesel cess. However, the latest news has put another burden on travelers. TSRTC has hugely increased the reservation charges too.
RTC officials have decided to increase the advance reservation ticket charges. Earlier it was Rs 20 per ticket but another Rs 10 was increased. From now on, if you make an advance reservation, you will have to pay Rs.30.
However, the Telangana RTC management has not yet made any official statement on the increased reservation charges. Passengers are angry that the reservation charges have been increased instead of a huddle. Ordinary people are questioning how they can survive if prices go up like this.
Already all prices in the market have risen. Cooking oil, petrol, diesel, and LPG gas prices are skyrocketing. Hotels have also raised food prices as diesel and LPG prices have risen. Now even in the RTC, it has become a burden to the common people with consecutive fare hikes.
