Hyderabad: Not even 24 hours after the state mourned the death of TSRTC driver Srinivas Reddy, another employee ended his life depressed over the job dismiss. Surender Goud, working as a conductor at Raniganj Depot has reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house on Sunday. Surender is on leave for a week due to fever and has been participating in the protests from the past four. He even shared his grief over the death of Srinivas Reddy with his fellow conductors.
Surender who survived with his wife and two children has recently taken a loan of Rs 10 lakhs from State Bank of India for his daughter’s marriage. He planned to pay off the loan in installments with his monthly salary. “We received a message from the bank that the check for September got bounced due to the non-payment of the month’s salary,” said Surender’s wife. She added that her husband was worried about the loan from a couple of days which was speculated as on elf the reasons behind the suicide.
