Vijayawada : Followed by the outrage from TDP activists and series of tweets from Nara Lokesh, AP DGP Gautam Sawang ruled out the political conspiracies around drones over Chandrababu’s Residence. The department’s supremo took to the media meet on Monday to address the issue.
Adding to the statement given by the Water Resources department, the DGP cleared the air that drones deployed were to record visuals for assessing the flood situation. He further clarified that the local police weren’t provided with any information about this which created chaos. “There is no scope for any conspiracy in this matter. I appeal all the political parties to not politicise the issue,” added Mr Sawang. On this note, the DGP has made it clear that from here on written permission from the police department is a must for using drones or any Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).
A drone seen flying at the residence of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in Undavalli on 16th of this month has created ripples in the political fraternity. This brought in outrage from the Opposition which accused the ruling party of carrying out surveillance at the residence of a politician covered under ‘Z plus’ security.
