Seems like the High Court’s green signal for the panchayat polls in Andhra Pradesh fuelled the vengeance mode for APSEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. While there is only one day left for the election notification to roll out, the SEC dropped a bombshell sacking crucial bureaucrats who snubbed his orders.
Taking the ignorance of the officials who did not respond to his notices to attend the SEC meeting on serious, Nimmagadda on Friday sacked two district collectors, a superintendent of police, two DSPs and five circle inspectors. SEC also transferred Tirupati Urban SP.
Collectors of Guntur and Chittoor, Superintendent of Police of Tirupati (Urban), DSP of Palamaner and Srikalahasti and circle inspectors of Macherla, Punganur, Rayadurgam and Tadipatri were among the list who received the SEC jolt.
The development assumed significance as the officials are said to be loyalists of the ruling YSRCP party. Further, the SEC also asked the Chief Secretary to send a panel of 3 names of suitable officers in case to replace the sacked officials.
