Amidst various political developments in the state, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan’s visit to Delhi to meet the BJP heat pawns assumed significance. Amongst which, Jagan’s meeting with Union home minister Amit Shah turned crucial as the leader agreed to hold meeting despite his health constrains-recovering from the corona.
This has been the first official meeting ever since the BJP leader was discharged from AIIMS after days of intensive treatment. While the duo met at around 7 PM on Tuesday and discussed the crucial developments in the state, it was learnt that Jagan is expected to have another round of meetings with Shah while the former couldn’t wrap up the deliberations in the given time on Tuesday.
CBI probe into the Antarvedi chariot fire and the Amaravati issue, AP Disha Criminal Law and the release of funds are the key issues brought to the discussion, while the role of several Telugu Desam Party leaders, including family members of then chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the insider trading, is learnt to be addressed in Wednesday meeting.
This strengthened the rumours that BJP would soon corner Chandrababu and his team. Given Amit Shah heeds to the CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in the AP State Fibernet Limited, Amaravati lands issue, everything would turn a big jolt to the TDP base.
Later, Jagan was expected to meet finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday.
