‘Water Wrangle’ between the Telugu state Chief Minister has become the most debatable in the state political circles despite the Corona gloom. Though the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) called for a meeting making a few resolutions, it ended up with no amicable solutions.
In the wake of which, the Telugu State’s authorities decided to convene at the second meeting of the Apex Council which is scheduled to be held on August 5.
Union Jal Shakti Ministry of water resources has will address the meeting with resolving the issues over sharing of water between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as the prime motto.
The Apex Council members, AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao will be attending the meeting which will be presided over by Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh.
However, there is no mention of GO 203 in the agenda of Apex Council which has been the main concern of TS Water Resources Department. It was also learnt that both the Chief Ministers’ offices are yet to confirm the appointments.
It all started with Andhra Pradesh planning to lift the lion share i.e, three to four TMCs of water of the Krishna waters released from the Srisailam project via Pothireddypadu which reportedly didn’t go well with T-Government.
