Increasing corona positive cases, hospitals reaching maximum capacity is forcing the Telangana government to look into alternative strategies to meet the increasing medical demand. Adding to which, piling up positive cases amongst the medical staff made the situations worse for the state health authorities.
In a strategy to meet up the demand, the Telangana government on Sunday issued new guidelines for home isolation of very mild and pre-symptomatic corona cases under which a patient can stay at home. Going by the permissions issued by the central government over the same, health minister Etala Rajendra stated that the patients who have mild symptoms can stay at home and take treatment.
“We took the decision to prioritise treatment for patients at high risk. It requested that the patients with mild symptoms stay home with strict vigil practising social distancing and personal hygiene,” said Etala. The move is expected to bring down the burden on medicos who are offering relentless services to the corona patients.
