Right when the festive vibes spruced up in the temple city Ayodhya, the chief priest, who will be part of the Bhoomi Puja ceremony and over 16 policemen deployed at the site have tested positive for the virus on Thursday.
Tensions prevailed in Ayodhya while the mega event which is scheduled to be held on August 5 will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and 200 other dignitaries.
While Pradeep Das, the assistant to the chief priest revealed that he has tested positive for coronavirus, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust announced that the event would be held as per the schedule.
With the event’s date approaching, the trust authorities ramped up the arrangements while an advisory to the devotees not to visit Ayodhya is already issued.
Besides broadcasting the live telecast of Bhoomi Pujan, giant CCTV screens have been erected across Ayodhya so the devotees can watch the program.
