Muslim party, Maulana Syed Ashhad Rashidi, legal heir of original litigant M Siddiq on Monday filed the first review plea over the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ayodhya land dispute case. While the apex court granted the 2.7 acre land to Ram Lalla, the above Muslim party on Monday, filed a review petition stating that complete justice wasn’t served to their community by directing reconstruction of Babri Masjid. However, the petition noted that the review petitioner is not challenging the entire judgement. On this note, Maulana Syed Ashhad Rashidi through lawyer Ejaz Maqbool, has also sought an interim stay on the operation of the verdict in which it had directed the Centre that trust is formed within three months for construction of the temple at the site. Sunni Waqf Board, which has been fighting for the land which is under litigation has chosen to not challenge against the verdict.
