Gaurav Wasan, YouTuber and Instagram influencer turned an overnight hero who shot a tearful story of an eighty-year-old Kanta Prasad, the owner of small kiosk ‘Baba ka Dhaba’ in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar. The video in no time went viral while donations poured in for the couple including from celebrities and politicians.
However, in a shocking twist in the tale, the 80-year-old Baba and his wife on Sunday have filed a complaint against Gaurav Wasan for misappropriation of funds. In a complaint filed in Malviya Nagar Police Station, Kanta Prasad alleged that the YouTuber Wasan deliberately shared his and his family’s bank details and collected a huge amount as a donation.
Baba also accused the YouTuber of not providing details of the financial transactions to him. Confirming the development. Gaurav, on the other hand, denied the allegations that he had received Rs 20-25 lakh. “We have initiated legal action against the YouTubers,” he said. Meanwhile, social media flooded with trolls and posts lashing out on the YouTuber.
