Tension prevailed at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan’s Lotus Pond residence on Wednesday with Bajrang Dal protest call against the attacks on Hindu temples across the state. A police force of 300 security personnel was deployed at the residence to avoid any untoward incidences in the premises.
While the police already barricaded the Lotus Pond premises, tensions ran high as the Bajrang Dal protestors tried to barge into the residence. Reportedly, Hyderabad police have detained a few protesters and shifted them to the local police station.
It all started with state minister Kodali Nani’s comments on TTD declaration form which allegedly hurt the Hindu sentiments. Various Hindu outfits continued to protest demanding CM Jagan to sign the declaration form before Lord Venkateswara Dharshan on Wednesday evening.
While BJP leaders announced protests at Alipiri ahead of CM Jagan’s visit, police held many BJP leaders in Tirupati under house arrest including Bhanuprakash Reddy
