Senior Congress leader Bakka Judson said that a complaint has been filed against Telangana Chief Minister KCR in the Central Water Commission. Speaking on Thursday, he made it clear that the decision to divert water from the Sriram Sagar project should be stopped immediately.
He said that even though there are three canals, Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Kakatiya, it is generating 35 megawatts of current. He said that 16 lakh acres of water will be provided in Telangana. In the Nanded media meeting, KCR told Maharashtra not to take SRSP water by putting a lift near Babli.
Judson said that it is surprising that KCR said that he should not lift water to Sri Ram Sagar by putting a lift near the Babli project. He said that if this happens, 16 lakh acres will become desert in Telangana. It is in this context that a complaint has been filed with the National Water Mission. KCR was criticized as the Tughlaq statement.
Judson said in the complaint that action has been taken to prevent harm to the public. It is said that a lot of water is coming through the Kaleswaram project and they are banging the can. He warned that the struggle will continue until KCR withdraws his statement.
