It has been more than a day, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments in Rajya Sabha regarding Telangana are sparking quite a controversy in the state. Protests are aggressively led by both the Congress and TRS parties in all districts and constituencies. Responding to this, BJP State President Bandi Sanjay gave an extensive explanation about Modi’s comments on Telangana state formation.
He clarified that Modi is in no way against Telangana state, and everything he spoke in the parliamentary session was about the Congress party. Bandi expressed confusion on TRS party members being angry at the Prime Minister when everything that was said and quoted was against Congress.
Bandi alleged TRS of putting efforts to divert peoples’ attention from KCR’s insensitive comments on the Prime Minister. He recently visited Delhi along with BJP leaders to pay tributes to Telangana martyrs. He opined that TRS must apologize to the Prime Minister and people of the nation for KCR’s comments on changing the constitution itself. He took a jibe at KCR calling him a joker. Bandi affirmed that the Prime Minister was in fact trying to put together the misdeeds committed by the Congress party during the formation of the Telangana state.
The BJP leader also added that KCR is not respecting the values and ethics of Telangana, and he is in fact disrespecting the culture and ruining the reputation of the state with his behavior. Bandi questioned the number of activists in the cabinet on behalf of TRS, calling the ruling party biased. He added that the souls of Telangana martyrs are screaming in pain looking at the way KCR is running the state. He concluded by saying that unless KCR doesn’t apologize, he will no way back out on the ongoing protests in the state.
“So far, during 7 years of power, what did KCR’s family do for Telangana state? Why did he agree to the allotment of 299 TMCs of Krishna waters to AP? What is KCR doing while the AP government is building back-to-back projects on the Krishna river?” he said. The BJP president further expressed his angst over the lack of jobs and growing suicides among the youth in the state.
Bandi accused KCR of trying to come up with a new constitution that suits his personal interests, he took a sly calling it the ‘Kalvakuntla constitution’. He questioned the motives of KCR on provoking the angst among the people of Telangana against the Prime Minister. Bandi stormed KCR with questions like KCR’s absence at the debate on the Telangana State Bill in Parliament, he demanded reasons behind KCR not participating in the voting. At last, Bandi opined that KCR is grooming the state politics and governing it as per his family’s convenience.
