Opposition leaders are reacting in their own way in the wake of the High Court verdict in the Somesh Cadre case. BJP president Bandi Sanjay responded and demanded the immediate resignation of Somesh Kumar from the post of Chief Secretary to the government. Telangana government should follow the court verdict and not extend CS to AP.
Bandi Sanjay said that after the division of the state in 2014, it was unethical to trample on the orders given by the DoPT and give key responsibilities to IAS and IPS officers from AP in Telangana. Still, it is suggested that a Telangana person or a person assigned to Telangana should be appointed as CS. They demanded that the officers assigned to AP should be transferred to that state as per the orders of DVPT
Bandi said that Chief Minister KCR has never respected laws, constitutions, and central regulations. He alleged that he was violating the constitution by using officials as pawns to expand his corrupt empire for his political needs. It was alleged that KCR got political benefit by appointing Somesh, who was assigned to Andhra Pradesh, as Chief Secretary while many officials assigned to Telangana were on the seniority list.
Sanjay reminded that several anti-job and anti-public orders including 317 were released by Somesh. It was alleged that Somesh was used to committing corruption on a large scale by appointing officials favorable to them in the departments of HMDA, Revenue, Irrigation, Home, etc.
