Bandi Sanjay faced obstacles at the High Court. Following the rejection of his bail petition by the Karimnagar local court, it is learned that he had filed a lunch motion petition in the high court. He has approached the High Court to grant bail and dismiss the cases against him.
A bench of Justice Laxman, which heard the case, said it did not have a roster for hearing cases involving MLAs and MPs. Bandi directed Sanjay’s lawyer to go to the court where cases involving public representatives are being heard. The judge directed the registrar to transfer the petition to the relevant bench.
State politics heated up at once after the arrest of Bandi Sanjay. The party has already called for a statewide strike to protest his arrest. The BJP will protest with black badges in the district and zonal centers for 14 days.
