Rs 578.85 crore has been sanctioned for this and fresh orders have been issued.
A total of 63.641 km (from 69/978 to 133/619) of road widening works will be undertaken as part of the Elkathurthi-Siddipet widening works as per the Center orders. As part of this work, two major bridges and six minor bridges will be rebuilt. In addition, one major and 26 minor bridges will be constructed.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar has been in talks with central leaders for the past few months to take up the Elkathurthi-Siddipet expansion work. Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has repeatedly handed over petitions to senior officials of the department. As a result of the Bandi’s negotiations, the Center has recently approved and sanctioned funds for these works.
Speaking on the occasion, Bandi Sanjay expressed happiness over the central decision. He extended special thanks to Prime Minister Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. He said that the sanction of Elkathurthi-Siddipet road widening works is proof that the Center is working in good faith for the development of infrastructure in Telangana. If the work is completed soon, it will not only solve the travel difficulties for the people of Karimnagar, Siddipet, and other places but also improve the opportunities for development in those areas, said Bandi Sanjay.
