In what can be called as a good news for the Bengaluru commuters, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced that their services would remain open until 2 AM on New Year’s Day. It is to the known knowledge that the city has been a focal point for New Year day celebrations attracting thousands of youth from across the state. Considering this, BMRCL stated that they would make necessary arrangements for the commuters.
However, the officials stated that those found causing trouble will be restricted from using the metro services. Shockingly, will be no breath analyser tests conducted on metro users on this particular extended span even at the happening areas like Bengaluru’s MG Road and Brigade Road. Addressing the security issues ahead of the year’s festivities, Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao stated that all necessary precautions would be taken including the drunk-driving checks on motorists in the city.
