BRS is already creating ripples in AP’s political scenario. The heat is already on with the opposition parties in AP accusing BRS of trying to help Jagan indirectly by trying to enter AP state politics. There is a talk that in order to divide the strong ‘Kapu’ community vote bank, KCR has chosen Thota Chandra Sekhar, one of the strong Kapu leaders of AP as the President of AP state BRS party so that it will have devastating effect on the traditional TDP vote bank.
In this context, MLC Kavitha’s comments have become crucial and significant point for discussion amongst the political leaders of AP. In Kavitha’s words, ‘we are not thinking of Kapu vote base or some other aspect. In fact, we are looking at the larger perspective of AP as a state and how to strike a chord with the people there and ensure their aspirations for the state of AP are met. Ultimately, KCR decides the final strategy of approach and that would be uniquely different from one state to the other. BRS was not for the advantages of political parties but for the welfare of people and people alone.’
Kavitha says that she is not aware of the offer of 1000 crore package by KCR to Jana Sena’s Pawan Kalyan in order to avoid Jana Sena’s electoral understanding with TDP. Also clarified that in addition to AP, BRS party’s plans are in place to establish itself in all the states of the country. She further states that her interest in UP is as good as the interest on AP and the BRS was established to bring change across the country in every aspect of life of the people of the country. She has also clarified that there is no truth in the rumors that after the coming elections plans are in place to make KTR as the CM of Telangana State. The party’s CM aspirant and CM would be KCR only even after the next elections. Kavitha has expressed confidence about winning the coming elections in Telangana State.
Elaborating further, Kavitha says that BRS party while working out of Telangana state, shall strive to weaken the BJP throughout the country by highlighting and discussing about BJP’s failures with people. Kavitha says that, whether any position was offered to her or not she vowed to continuously work and put her efforts for the benefit of the party and hoped that whenever the party recognizes her work and contribution to the party, she is confident of getting appropriate position for her. Finally, MLC Kavitha clarified that the party and party’s leadership will decide about the place from where she is expected to context the next elections and she is willing to abide by the party’ decision whenever party decides to offer any position.
