BJP was in for shock in Tamil Nadu with the crossing over of 13 of their MLAs to their ally Anna DMK. While there were allegations in recent times from BJP that their ally with the active support of Anna DMK’s Ex CM Palani Swamy, efforts were on to attract BJP’s MLAs to their side, this development has taken place on this Wednesday. In fact, a couple of days back the MLAs belonging to BJP have started switching over to Anna DMK. C T Nirmal Kumar, BJP’s Chief of IT division has already joined Anna DMK.
Ambarajan, BJP IT wing district chief has attributed certain developments within the party that have made them to leave the party. Those who have left BJP along with Ambarajan include 10 members of IT wing’s district secretaries and two of the IT wing’s deputy secretaries also.
Earlier, a large number of functionaries of BJP representing different divisions and holding offices of responsibilities have quit the party. Prominent amongst them being Krishnan, Dileep Kannan, Vijay and others.
However, Annamalai, the state BJP president has clearly stated that it’s the individual’s choice to decide in which political party he / she would like to continue and the BJP would not stop them. Those who are leaving are at liberty to join any party of their choice and they have nothing to comment upon. Also added that some political parties always wanted to poach some one or the other from their third line of leadership and they have no qualms about the same.
