He has been a revolutionary political analyst playing a crucial role in the victory of many leaders including Narendra Modi. Prashant Kishor, the former national vice-president of JD(U) has set ripples in the state politics swimming against the party high command which ended up in his expulsion. Soon after which the young politician launched his ‘Baat Bihar Ki’, a new campaign against Nitish-led governance as a part of which Prashant will be travelling across Bihar for 100 days.
However, the campaign which didn’t even take shape left PK in neck-deep troubles. In a recent revelation, a cheating case was filed against the political strategist over content theft. Shashwat Gautam, a young resident of Bihar filed the case in Patna’s Pataliputra police station claiming that Prashant’s campaign, ‘Bihar ki Baat’, was his concept. The case has been filed under Sections 420 (cheating & dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
In his complaint, Prashant stated that it was his idea which was registered in January and has submitted all necessary proofs to the police. Gautam alleged that it was through a person named Osama that his concept was stolen. Osama has contested students union election in Patna University in the past along with Gautam. Osama’s name is also included in the FIR. While the police have initiated the probe into the case, Prashant or his team is yet to react to the allegations.
