It seems that the Telangana Legislative Assembly speaker’s office will issue notices to former minister and BJP MLA Etela Rajender. It is known that the BAC meeting was held after the assembly meetings that started on Tuesday. The speaker invited Akbaruddin Owaisi from MIM and Bhatti Vikramarka from Congress along with the ruling TRS party. But did not invite anyone from BJP.
Huzurabad MLA Etela Rajender made inappropriate comments addressing the speaker. He lashed out saying that Legislator Pocharam Srinivas Reddy is blindly following Chief Minister KCR for ignoring the traditions and rules of all kinds. He questioned why BJP MLAs were not invited to the BAC meeting. However, the speaker’s office took Etela Rajender’s comments seriously and issued a notice to him.
Etela Rajender commented that even if Chief Minister KCR wants to avoid public problems by leading the meeting for five minutes, he cannot escape in the public domain. Reminding that it was held for 80, 90 days in the united state, for 20 days during the Telangana movement, and for 20 days from the rainy season meetings, he questioned why it is now held for just five minutes and three days.
The state government also took Etela Rajender’s comments seriously. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prashant Reddy demanded that Etela Rajender tender an unconditional apology to the Speaker. If he does not apologize, he warned that action will be taken as per the rules of the House.
The budget sessions of the Telangana Legislative Assembly for the financial year 2022-23 began on March 7, and the government presented the budget on the same day. However, the speaker announced that BJP MLAs Rajasingh, Raghunandan Rao, and Etela Rajender were suspended for the entire budget session as they were disrupting the budget speech. The three of them approached the High Court but were disappointed. But at this point, there is a talk that official action will definitely be taken against Etela Rajender who made inappropriate comments about the Speaker, and nothing can be done to save him from that.
