Hours after Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy dismissed BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s claims of stone-pelting at his election campaign meetings and roadshows, the dashing leader who took no qualms to counter-attack the ruling TRS, went incommunicado from Thursday. Triggering the speculations over the Karimnagar MP going undercover, Sanjay reportedly cut off all communication links followed by sending back the government gunmen. A person at an MP cadre especially the one who played a crucial role in the recent municipal election against the state government going off the public eye from the past two days triggered tensions in the BJP state cadre.
Followed by the allegations made by the BJP activists over the stone-pelting by the followers of TRS party, the state police have increased the special security for the MP. However, CP VB Kamalasan Reddy rubbished the allegations made by Sanjay which led to a roll of verbal attacks. As the MP accused that CP can be addressed as a TRS activist rather a government official, the latter hit back the comments. While the verbal war is still on, all of a sudden Sanjay’s mobile went off followed by him asking the police security at his home to go back.
A small spat reportedly took place at his home as the police refused to leave and asked for a written statement. Meanwhile, all calls made to Sanjay Kumar’s phone were being forwarded to another number and the party people close to him confirmed that they were not in touch with him from the past two days. However, a few of the BJP activists stated that Sanjay didn’t go missing but was holing meeting with BJP candidates who are contesting from different divisions of the MCK. Meanwhile, a video of Sanjay at the Karimnagar Civil Hospital on a two-wheeler alone without any security is going viral.
