BJP MP Raja Singh on Wednesday lashed out on AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi over the complaint filed by the party leaders regarding the Charminar Bhagyalakshmi Temple. The BJP leader warned the Muslim leader to back off rather than trying to fuel communal tensions. “It is clear that the AIMIM leaders have deliberately brought back the Bhagyalakshmi Temple issue in the wake of Ayodhya verdict. Seems like they don’t want Hindu and Muslim communities to live in solidarity,” he added.
On this note, Raja Singh asked Owaisi if he wants them to bring out the list of Masjids which were built illegally. “There are proofs that a small idol was worshipped at the place even during the construction of Charminar. Your grandfather and great-grandfather were not even born during the construction of Bhagyalakshmi temple,” said Raja Singh referring to Owaisi. Demanding a public apology, he warned the AIMIM leader of dire consequences if the complaint against Bhagya Lakshmi Temple wasn’t withdrawn immediately.
