Basking in the success of her power-packed comeback in Tollywood, Vijayashanthi, the firebrand of Telangana was seen making some crucial power moves to make a comeback in politics as well.
Amidst the speculations that the former MP is pining to return back to home party BJP, the actor-turned-politician was seen meeting crucial leaders both from BJP and Congress.
Earlier she met with Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy after which she condemned that arrest of Karimnagar BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar which fuelled the speculations. While this was still going on, Telangana PCC working president Jetti Kusum Kumar on Wednesday met Vijayashanthi which seemed to be a damage control meeting.
Followed by the meeting, Kusum Kumar refuted the reports over the star leaving the party. “She will stay in the party as she had joined it after Congress promised a separate Telangana. she was not active in the party activities because of the lockdown and COVID issues and has been critical of the government’s policies,” he further said.
It can be noted that actor-turned-politician Khusbhoo recently bid adieus to Congress stating that she was not given space to express her opinions in public, even if they were sometimes different from party stands. Speculations are rife that Vijayashanthi would take the same path given the star campaigner in 2018 assembly elections, is being given less relevance in Congress.
