BJP national general secretary D Purandeswari joining the Amaravati farmers’ Maha walkathon to Tirumala has indeed boosted the morale of the farmers whose walkathon entered the 21st day.
BJP leaders like Rajya Sabha members Y.S. Chowdary and C.M. Ramesh, and party State president Somu Veerraju joining the walk with Amaravati Parirakshana Samiti reportedly kicked up political debate in the state.
The support came close on the heels of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah visiting the state and calling for a meet with the BJP biggies in the Telugu states. In a recent report making rounds in political circles, Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay is looking forward to join the farmers’ Mahapadayatra. Sources confirmed that the leader will join the padayatra in Kurnool district along with a few Andhra BJP leaders.
Under the leadership of the Amaravati Parirakshana Committee and Rajadhani Aikasa, the 45-day walkathon started from Tulluru and will end at Tirumala.
