TPCC chief Revanth Reddy criticized the central and state governments for making the people unable to celebrate Ugadi. He accused the BJP and TRS governments of robbing people from all walks of life in some or another way. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Revanth said that the Congress party is constantly fighting for the people. He expressed his best wishes to the people of Telangana on the eve of the festival.
Revanth aggressively said that KCR’s policies are death warrants for Telangana farmers. He bashed KCR for too much dependency on the Center. Revanth said that he wants to stone the Telangana government which cheated the farmers. “First the government told the farmers to cultivate paddy, now the same government is denying to buy the grains. This is betrayal. The TRS government has given a written assurance to the Center that it will not provide para-boiled rice. That’s why this problem is getting bigger. Everything that is happening now is because of KCR’s clueless policies,” said Revanth.
Further, he said that the steps taken to purchase paddy should be prepared within the first week of March. He said it would take a month or so to start the process now. He said that Congress will be carrying out a protest campaign against all these shortcomings. On the 4th of this month, in front of the Ambedkar statues in the Mandal centers, on the 6th in front of the District Collectorate offices, on the 7th they will take part in surrounding the Vidyut Sauda and Civil Supply offices. Revanth demanded that the people take the lead in these struggles. It is alleged that the CM diverted the crop holiday in Telangana towards rice.
Revanth reminded that under the UPA regime, gas was only Rs 414, diesel Rs 55, and petrol Rs 71. Although crude oil rates have fallen internationally, prices have risen sharply. The Center has been accused of embezzling Rs 10 lakh crore in taxes. He said the central and state governments had collected Rs 36 lakh crore from the people in taxes on petrol, diesel, and gas. While the prices weren’t increased even by a single penny during the five state elections, they imposed an exponential hike all of sudden after the results.

Talking about the similarities between KCR and Modi, Revanth said that they are identical twins in their policy of robbing the poor. He said that it was the government’s failure behind the increase in electricity charges. “Pragati Bhavan will not pay the current bill or the bills of government offices. Will the government be the reason for the collapse of the power companies? Electricity is being given for free to agriculture, but home electricity prices are being increased. People are advised to take note of this. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi called on the activists to work towards the goal of giving a separate state. We have completed 40 lakhs in membership registration,” said Revanth.
