Actor Chadwick Boseman who rose to fame as ‘Black Panther’ in the Marvel cinematic universe breathed his last on Friday. While the actor is known for this breathtaking stunts for the acclaimed role never publicly discussed his health condition, his family after the death revealed that Chadwick has been battle with colon cancer from the past four years.
According to the actor’s publicist Nicki Fioravante, the 43-year-old Chadwick died at his home in Los Angeles with his wife and family by his side.
“From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more- all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honour of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther,” read the statement posted by the family via Chadwick’s official social media pages.

It can be noted that Chadwick became the first black superhero to get his own standalone film in the record-breaking Marvel franchise with 2018’s “Black Panther.” The news of Chadwick’s death sent shockwaves through Hollywood while social media flooded with condolence messages.
