The ripples set by the leaked screenshots from an Instagram named “Bois Locker Room” doesn’t seem to subside anytime soon. Screenshots from an Instagram Group Chat named “Bois Locker Room” where pictures of underage girls were shared regularly along with talk of gang rape came to limelight when a South Indian girl influencer on Twitter exposed the whereabouts of the group.
With criticism from all across the country, Delhi police in no time swung into action who reportedly detained almost 22 teenagers in connection with the Instagram group. To everyone’s surprise, a 15-year-old student of a prominent school in South Delhi played a crucial role in tracking down the other 21 Teenagers. “The detained accused would be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB),” said the police.
It was also learnt that the cyber-crime division of the police has written to Facebook-owned Instagram for details on the group. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old college student filed a complaint when she discovered her images shared on the chatroom.
Yesterday, the administration of one of the schools went to the police. Going by the released chats, members of “Bois Locker Room” even threatened to leak nude photographs of the women who reported them and launched a second group.
