Leaving the cinephiles active on social media disappointed, talented Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on Monday announced that he has quit social media. In a statement to inform his fans and followers that it is his last post, the ‘Dangal’ actor stated that he has “decided to drop the pretence”.
Coinciding with his 56th birthday, Aamir thanked fans for their birthday wishes before announcing his intention to log off permanently.
However, fans heaved a sigh of relief as the actor in his last post said that future updates on his life and films will be found on the official social media handles of Aamir Khan Productions.
“We will continue to communicate as we did before. In addition, Aamir Khan Productions (AKP) has created its official channel. So, future updates on me and my films can be found there…Lots of love,” Aamir wrote. The development left the netizens puzzled as it is not clear whether Aamir will deactivate his personal accounts or simply stop posting on them.
On the work front, Aamir Khan will next be seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which will hit the marquee on Christmas this year.
