Secunderabad court on Monday refused to grant bail to former TDP minister Bhuma Akhila Priya who is the prime accused in the Bowenpally kidnap case.
Opposing the bail petition filed by A1 Akhila Priya that she might tamper or attempt to tamper the evidence or influence the witness, Hyderabad police have stated that they have registered additional sections on the Allagadda leader.
Amidst which, reports that Akhila Priya confessed her crime are taking rounds on Telugu media circles. Police sources revealed that Akhila Priya accepted to play a crucial role in the crime along with her husband and brother during her interrogation in 3-day police custody.
Police sources also revealed that the 15 more persons in connection with the kidnap case who were arrested on Sunday were made based on Akhila Priya’s confessions.
While the special teams deployed are still searching for Akhila Priya’s husband Bhargav Ram and his brother Chandrahas in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra, it was learnt that Akhila Priya’s lawyers are trying all odds to move the bail petition at Nampally Criminal Court.
