Like any another Indian, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also decked up everything to watch the rare celestial spectacle on Thursday. While he turned all disappointed to miss the last solar eclipse in the decade due to a dense cloud cover, it has, however, gave a good feed to the trollers. As Modi took to Twitter to share the pictures of him trying to catch the glimpses of the eclipse with his fans and followers, one can’t ignore his Maybach glasses he sported. According to the fashionistas, the luxury frames by Maybach costs as much as $2,159 that is Rs 1.6 Lac.
This has welcomed a roll of trolls from the netizens who took to the comments sections to take a dig at Modi. In no time, hashtag #BrandedFakeer started trending on social media. On the other hand, fans and followers came to Modi’s rescue with the hangtag #CoolestPM admiring his style statement. This is not the first time Modi fell subject tp criticism with his style statement with Rs 10 Lac worth suit during former US President Obama’s visit to India.
Like many Indians, I was enthusiastic about #solareclipse2019.
Unfortunately, I could not see the Sun due to cloud cover but I did catch glimpses of the eclipse in Kozhikode and other parts on live stream. Also enriched my knowledge on the subject by interacting with experts. pic.twitter.com/EI1dcIWRIz
