The High Court has issued notices to Telangana CM KCR. A few days ago, the government allotted the most expensive 4,935 yards of land in the Banjara Hills to the TRS district office. The High Court was hearing a petition filed in this regard.
In fact, there are no records of lands being given to the district office by any party in the past. But there has been a lot of criticism that the government has made arbitrary allocations for what it thought was it’s own. Against this backdrop, retired employee Maheshwar Raj filed public interest litigation. In his PIL, Maheshwar Raj explained in the petition that the most expensive land was allotted at Rs 100 per acre. He also challenged the allotment of land to TRS offices in the districts. The trial court issued key orders.
The High Court issued notices to TRS president, CM KCR, and party general secretary Srinivas Reddy. Also, notices have been issued to CS, CCLA, Revenue CS, and Hyderabad Collector. The court ordered them to file the counters within four weeks.
Opposition parties have been saying that KCR wanted to build a district office to replace the existing TRS state office. The original reason for this was a structural flaw that raised many suspicions.
